General Instructions:
• Store spectacles in a dry place at room temperature.
• Lenses should be cleaned regularly. Do not clean lenses when dry. Instead, use a cleaning
fluid or running water. Scratched lenses should be replaced and disposed.
• Use only original lenses and spare parts from the manufacturer.
• For disinfection of protective glasses, please inquire with the manufacturer as the case arises.
• Extremely sensitive skin may experience allergic reactions upon contact with some raw material.
• Eye-protectors against high speed particles worn over standard ophthalmic spectaclesmay transmit
impacts thus creating a hazard to the wearer.
• If protection against high speed particles at extremes of temperatures is required then the selected
eye-protector should be marked with the letter T immediately after the impactletter. i.e. FT. BT or AT.
• If the impact letter is not followed by the letter T then the eye protector shall only be
used against high speed particles at room temperature.
• When different lenses and frames are combined the following rules need to be observed:
• A frame marked with code 8 must be filled with a lens of protection factor 1.2-2 with
a minimum thickness of 1.2mm A frame marked with code 9 must be fitted with a lens
marked 9 and the code F. 8 or A.
• If frame and lens have different certification marks as regards F, 8 or A the lesser area
of use applies.
